Our All-Inclusive Package is designed for families, churches, and other property owners or renters who want to follow their insurance companyâs recommendation, and own a complete inventory of each of their properties and appraisals on all their personal property assets. Our All-Inclusive service also includes AVIâs revolutionary 3D HomeScan, a proprietary interactive video of your property performed with specialized cameras by professional operators. This service package is our most popular and our most comprehensive. Our work is performed worldwide.
How the All-Inclusive Package Works
Our All-Inclusive Inventory and Appraisal package provides you with a comprehensive record of each of your propertiesâ contents along with individual and aggregate values. To start, AVI will schedule a phone consultation to discuss your needs and answer your questions followed by a Letter of Agreement that confirms the terms of sale. On the appointed day, there will be a walk-through so you can open doors, drawers, and closets to reveal any items to be cataloged. AVIâs highly-trained Inventory Specialists then photograph each room and catalog every object in every room. Items to be appraised are carefully measured and digitally described using Object ID, a system developed by the Getty Museum for positively identifying art and other one-of-a-kind objects. On average, our Inventory Specialists can catalog approximately 3500 square feet per day. Pricing is based on your square footage, not an ambiguous hourly rate. In addition, we will schedule a 3D HomeScan of your property, to be included in your All-Inclusive package.
What Your All-Inclusive Package Includes
Once the inventory has been completed, AVI determines the value on every item inside your property and develops individual USPAP-compliantÂč certified appraisals on any item worth at least $2500. The aggregate value of all your personal property is included in your final report and for most clients is much higher than they expect, exposing vulnerabilities in their insurance coverage. Since AVI is a completely unbiased third party with no financial interest in your property, we also include our independent analysis of your current insurance contents coverage, highlight areas of exposure, and provide recommendations to discuss with your broker. Your complete package includes a detailed list of every item we recommend be added to a new or existing valuable articles policy, a room-by-room detailed inventory of all items accompanied by high-quality images, individual appraisals, a summary appraisal report, an inventory spreadsheet, and your 3D HomeScan video. Custom reports are also available.
How to Use the Information in Your All-Inclusive Package Reports
The most common use of your All-Inclusive report is to set up a visit with your insurance agent and discuss your contents coverage. Many people find the recommendations for specific assets to be added to an existing or new valuable articles policy to be the most important part of the report. Other uses for certified appraisals include estate division during a divorce or business dissolution, for tax purposes after charitable donations, and for many other legal matters.
We highly recommend you also choose our Asset Manager Service to keep your inventory up to date. If the unthinkable happens, we can help you compile your claim and even update appraisals on assets you still owned at the time of the loss.
We also recommend using our Estate Planning and Settlement platform to plan allocations of your valuable personal property assets to beneficiaries. Weâve developed these revolutionary tools to help you and your estate attorney work out the sometimes difficult decisions that, if left until later, can often result in fractured family relationships and expensive attorney fees. Using our tools, you can designate the beneficiary for each item or even allow your beneficiaries access to the platform to choose for themselves. You make the final decisions. You remain in complete control.
Total Property Valuation
After AVI completes the inventory of your entire property, we calculate the aggregate value of all your personal property. In addition, every item valued over $2500 is individually appraised. Depending on your intended use, we can provide the replacement value for insurance or the fair market value for business valuation, estate planning, distribution, or gifting.
Asset Manager Service
The first question many people ask is, âHow do I keep my inventory and appraisal information current?â Our Asset Manager Service is a valuable option available exclusively to our All-Inclusive Appraisal Package clients. For a small annual fee, our clients can keep their aggregate value current by adding or deleting items in their inventory going forward. In addition, 1) any cataloged items can be moved within the property or residence or to a secondary property or residence that has been processed by AVI, 2) items can be updated with item-specific, time-stamped comments, 3) certified appraisals for new items and updates of existing appraisals for Insurance-to-Value purposes can be requested, and 4) a wide range of reports (such as a list of all artwork or relics valued over $5000) can be requested.
