Your contents insurance may not be enough to cover a potential loss and you will need individual appraisals to add some of your assets to a new or existing valuable articles policy. AVI can help!

Our Appraisal-Only package is available for anyone who has a significant number of high-value personal property assets and needs to know their appraised value for insurance purposes, estate planning, charitable giving, or for other legal purposes. AVI is completely unbiased with no financial interest in the assets we appraise and our work is performed worldwide.

How the Appraisal-Only Package Works

You’ve acquired some beautiful art, rugs, antiques, designer clothing, furniture, and other high-value personal property assets for your home, church, or business and you’d like to know their appraised value. AVI is the undisputed expert in these kinds of appraisals. After our initial phone consultation in which we identify your specific requirements, AVI will send in a highly-trained Inventory Specialist who will photograph and document the items you’d like appraised using a process called Object ID. Up to 40 items or sets are included in this flat-rate package with additional appraisals available on a per-item basis. We will also complete an AVI 3D HomeScan video of your property in such detail, it serves as an insurance-approved visual inventory of not just your personal property, but also your building’s structure and architectural details, both inside and outside, weather permitting.

What Your Appraisal-Only Package Includes

Once your inventory work has been completed, AVI’s certified appraisers expertly produce individual USPAP-compliant¹ certified appraisals on the items you wish to have appraised. Your complete package includes a list of all individual appraisals with digital images of each item, your 3D HomeScan video of your entire property, plus our independent analysis of your current insurance contents coverage. We highlight areas of exposure and provide detailed recommendations to discuss with your broker, including every item we recommend be added to a new or existing valuable articles policy. If you should ever experience a loss, AVI is available to help you construct the documentation you will need for an insurance claim and can even update appraisals to current values from the information we’ve collected.
